What do you think about putting in some kind of circuit breaker on hyperactive threads? The logic would be something like:

If posts-per-day-on-a-subject >= 100 then Limit each person to 3 posts/day (on that subject) except for the moderator. That would kill bantering pretty quick.

Or the moderator could simply set a limit of X posts/day/member.

This is one advantage of killing the ads...I'm not incentivized to focus on quantity of messages!
