Box,

We are much in agreement.

We know this is an accounting game from the OE perspective, but, too many times we have seen inventory morph into price cutting. Especially this time of year when new model change-over is scheduled and the shoppers come out.

Overall, I think it bodes ill for the segment and the economy. More bullshit from GM to make their numbers. Firsthand, such games are a nightmare for suppliers with long lead times (read that as importers to the USA assembly).

Ford F-Truck is a tough one to beat. They really nailed it on this latest version and they will continue to steal share from GM. I had both GM and Ford truck lines, so it was feast or famine with those, but when it was good, it was really good.

My take on GM is they are the same dog with a shampoo and a haircut. One good scratch and the stink is still there. Ford has their shit together and is significantly stronger than GM will ever be again. EVER.
