Rest in Peace Beloved M&SP Thread

On this the occasion of SI's new or renewed ownership/management I pass this way to remember.

I lay this virtual wreath in honor of the thread Metaphysics and Spiritual Practices. By it I pay my respect to this odd but beloved family. Each member, following their own trajectory, combined to create a moment in time come and gone, a cherished memory. I thank each of you by name – Tomato (wise moderator, divine fruit whom I thank for creating this conversation) – Carol (hidden pleasures and wounds I ask forgiveness for) – Crocodile (our royal serene Lady Croc) – MSB (Mike giving quiet and true voice to his faith) – Yorikke (mnmuench a kindred one) – O’Hara (sublime Hep(h)zibah) – Jane (Grace of the Heart) – Walt (a man among men regretfully unexplored) – Rick Julian (a mind curious, artistic, esoteric) – Gypsy (a vast reservoir arriving to late to be plunged into) – AugustWest (the Gita, an exploration missed) and two or three others that briefly passed our way. For the willing vulnerability, the shared wisdom, the demands of the undertow, the persistence in the absence of reason, and for the cumulative effect that was far greater than the sum of its parts, I salute you, one and all. Perhaps a fitting eulogy is penned by MSB in his last post. I quote,

Gently it rolls
with rhythm and rhyme
from some unknown place
behind the eyes

but quickly it goes
like a whiff of a glimpse
before ever the hand
can place black upon white
