The funny thing about daycare is that it partially negates the benefits of having two incomes in the family. Yes, I was shocked at how much they pay for daycare. So what is your friend doing now? I'm pretty sure that if teaching is his passion and his strength, he'll return to it in one form or another. Probably when the kids are more self-sustaining. He went back to IT......and probably six figures. Hopefully, he will go back.......I'll know more when we get together again. The truth is we need more male teachers. I think boys in school need them as role models.
