Thanks Brad.

As it has been in the past...focus on Stock Discussion, but anything goes

Ok, then why the fuss over BANS & IGNORES? Personally, not only do I have no one on IGNORE here or iHub, I also have no one membermarked. Oh yeah, and I HATE the BAN feature.

It seems to me that discussion re these features stem from the "posses" or shitfights on non-stock related boards. I suspect (but have not done a statistical analysis) that the emotionally charged political & non-stock related boards have created most of the bad blood amongst long-timers here. Having Club-type boards that are available by invitation only to read & post on might reduce some of the noise. If your intent is to be a non-vertical investment site eliminating a data provider and concentrating on stock discussion then, IMHO, any other discussion should be moved to another area of the site that requires a secret handshake (or just a handshake or wink or nod) to get into...and is ADMIN hands-off monitored solely by the MOD & his/her ASSistants for the board. There can be a couple of areas in this part of the site ie one area for Invitation-only boards, one for general chit chat, etc. But if the focus should be on stock discussion then that should be the focal point. One comment re eliminating a data provider - you may want to consider retaining a really good news provider and having that streaming somewhere on the home page or available via a hot link.

I might add the ability to include multiple recipients on PMs

That would be great - with a limit to the number of recipients. Like 5. Don't want to give them PM SPAMMERS another tool. Also, the ability to forward PMs to someone else could be useful. If you really want to be innovative, you might also look into having a feature that enables the sender to edit PMs after they have been sent...lol
