I agree with your take.

Obama is bright enough to capitalize on the fact that the Republicans allowed their party to be taken over by a bunch of fiscal extremists who are willing to put the country at risk to prove some sort of point.

Obama taught Constitutional Law. I think he is just giving the GOP all the rope they want. He knows his options.

It is hilarious that a South Carolina GOP Congressman is so ignorant of the Constitution that he suggested that they would impeach Obama for complying with the law. Such is the caliber of his opposition.

And of course, the seminal execution of Osama.

All of these points are becoming clearer to most Americans simultaneous with the realization that the GOP is refusing to increase revenue to correct a problem that cannot be corrected by spending cuts.

This is obvious to everybody but a very select few, who still occupy seats in Congress.
