<WAY OFF TOPIC> Well, David, I have spent my entire life on macs, but my job during the summer deals with the setup of Intel Workstations and Servers. Windows NT, IMO, has always been inferior to MacOS8 when looking at it from the standpoint of home use. Although the software isn't there in terms of video games, and diversity in other areas, Apple still holds a slight lead in the design world(although the PC's have virtually caught up in terms of software availability). And that's what I deal in. Because Apple still works together with Adobe, Apple will probably always hold somewhat of an edge. Adobe still primarily develops for Macintoshes. Compare the software lineups for both.

Stability? This new MacOS is the most stable system I have ever used/seen for any computer, aside from NeXT's Openstep. NT has improved vastly the amount of hard crashes over 95, but still has a ways to go before it can compare with task crashing comparisons with the OS8. Now that the two have joined, I am waiting for Rhapsody to enter into the fray, and I think a great deal of people will all be incredibly impressed with it.

Ease of development? Well, because Metrowerks doesn't develop for PC, IMO, the Macs have that advantage too. Check out Metrowerks Codewarrior Professional.

Hardware? RISC chip over MMX. Nuff said bout that.

I dunno, they're both so close now, I really can't make a judgement call.
