That's not an answer. If you're going to comment about a market and criticize someone else, at least know what the hell you're talking about.

It doesn't alter the fact that without so-called "speculation", the variance in commodity prices far higher. We know that.

I believe there is a word missing from your first sentence. What are you trying to say?

More importantly, without commodities, business risk is much higher, and the result is increased costs of goods and services. See: Southwest Airlines (which someone else mentioned previously).

Are you saying that without commodity speculation business risk is much higher? If so, why?

When someone suggests getting rid of commodity trading, you immediately know you're discussing the subject with a nitwit.

It sounds to me you don't know enough about what you're taking about to come to such a conclusion.
