Advice well taken. The point I wanted to make is that tech companies such as msft have to regularly adjust their strategic directions due to the technology trend. A mistake in this adjustment can easily send the company packing. Msft is taking a great pain right now on the internet front simply because they missed internet trend for six months. If they had started their internet push six months earlier, they would not have to give so much good stuffs free. The strategic direction has nothing to do with marketing, managing, or engineering. It is the strategic intent formed at the very top that matters. Bill has done a good job in the past. Then, nobody can be 100%. Michael
