I simply have a HUGE problem with two investment discussion incompatible features, no matter how many threads per ticker: banning and post deleting. I am not a fan of the ban feature either. However, I offered up Plan B simply in order to create forums of civility where like-minded individuals participate in the discussion. Let the reader/lurker decide on which of the particular boards for a ticker they wish to participate. You could have 3 or 4 boards per ticker all offering different outlooks that would offer the reader alternatives. I think you might find that the ban & delete buttons wouldn't be used that often in this case. Also, the other purpose of banning & deleting posts is to get rid of spammers, vulgarity & privacy violations. Neither Brad nor Ron are here 24/7/365 so to wait for them to deal with these issues is not prudent IMHO. To me, freaking SPAMMERS are the worst of the worst & should be deleted (or shot) on sight. I freaking HATE them. If you have 15 boards marked as favorites and all of a sudden 10 of them have one new post, do you have any idea how freaking annoying it is to click each of the 10 & see the same freaking post? It makes me NUTSO!
