The Treasury's measure of real rates using the ten year as a benchmark is 1.39%, the lowest figure so far this year. Since the rate assumes a measure of inflation which is measured by the Treasury, it is probably too high. It is likely lower even than the 1.39%. Real rates could actually be negative even using the ten year as a measuring stick.

MZM at new record, too, and growing.

Very, very bullish for gold.

If there were only two data points to know in order to predict gold, these two are the ones.

Given the situation in Euro Zone, which will spill over globally and the potential for QE3, I will stick my head out and predict gold at or near 1800 by year's end.
