In case you missed it, John Helmer wrote a recent article about the HRG Russians. Actually, it also demonstrates the humorous side of John`s writing skills.

As you may know, HRG`s Russian control BoD moved HRG into the Yukon business act last year in order to avoid having Canadian directors (in my opinion).

However, they took this year`s AGM one step further, by holding the AGM in Yukon (John explains why it wasn`t necessary to hold it in Yukon). As a result, ABSOLUTELY NO MINORITY SHAREHOLDER was able to attend the AGM (exactly how they wanted it, in my opinion) – John also explains that technology was available to have phone access or Web broadcast (but they declined those requests by minority shareholders). As a side note, they moved HRG`s head office to Moscow a couple of years ago (from Toronto) – no more dedicated investor relations person and a completely different time zone than more minority shareholders are in (if you want to connect with the company you likely have to email the Russian CEO directly and he only provides standard (vague) answers that most minorities seem to find to be completely useless).

It is really unfortunate that regulatory bodies just sit back and allow public companies to run in this manner and allow minority investments to be suppressed in this way. I would like to see regulatory bodies invoke more common sense type rules. I would like to see regulatory bodies crack down hard on bullying that occurs within the investment markets.

John`s article is titled ``MORDASHOV HIDES GOLD MINING COMPANY FROM SHAREHOLDERS NEAR THE NORTH POLE``.
