Thank you. Yes, the guy was exaggerating about the price. However, the point remains, it's not the governments job to tell people what light bulbs to buy. This is true in spades when they're virtually mandating use of something dangerous to people's families.

According to wikipedia, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends that, in the absence of local guidelines, fluorescent bulbs be double-bagged in plastic before disposal. Do you do this and where do you dispose of your CFL bulbs?
