Americans don't know how to do basic cost/benefit analyses, as evidenced by many on this thread..

My post did not address either the cost or efficacy of any lighting sources. It was merely a comment on how that nanny state clown, Chu (one of far too many infesting Washington DC), thinks that removing consumers ability to freely choose how to light their homes is desirable.

The problem with the whole "green" agenda is that it's far removed from free market constraints and economic sense. Its foundation rests on controls, regulations and subsidies, basically attempting to bang a square peg into a round hole.

IMO, the rescinding of the light bulb ban is just the beginning of consumer backlash against the anti choice controllers and do-gooders. Time will tell..

And BTW, your throw away attempt to insult the intelligence of "many on this thread", was rather childish..
