David,

As far as I know in order of size the only three publicly traded photomask companies are: PLAB DPMI MASK. As far as pricing I agree with your comments on DPMI and it seems that MASK is not appreciated as much as PLAB due to its 'LOW TECH' market approach. I do not understand the details of the photomask business, but if good business opportunities exist at the low tech end of the market place, why shoudn't a company go after that business. Bottom line is if the company management can grow the business and stay abreast of changing market conditions, then this is a company I will invest in. Even better if the company sells at a 50% discount to the industry.

Good luck with your semiconductor equipment investments. These companies have NOT been good investments for the last 12 months. You may have to sit on your purchases for sometime before they begin to move up. But when that move happens, the wait will be worth it !!

I am currently following: AGAI ASEC BRKS BTUI CMOS EGLS ESIO FUSN KLIC MTSN MERX PRIA SILI and hold positions in FSII ISSI MGRY REAL.
