This is a totally specious claim in light of the Ds failure to produce a budget time and again. Clearly, the Rs are doing everything they can do -- there is a Democratic Senate which HAS DONE ZERO and a liberal president they have to get past.

The Rs have now put serious deficit reduction on the table and forced Obama to attend. That's not nothing. In the end, we're going to get deficit reduction. Even YOU cannot possibly argue that that would have happened without the Rs. And as soon as it passes, we'll see a revival of consumer confidence. And I believe the recovery will begin at that point.

In November, voters only did half the job. Hopefully, they'll learn from that mistake.
