You're splitting hairs. Doesn't matter if government is pushing CFLs, LED bulbs, or "more efficient incandescents." Doesn't matter if government is forcing their hand upon manufacturers or consumers. Doesn't matter if some Republicans like the idea.

The net effect is the same. Less choice, more bloated government.

Besides, it makes no sense to advocate government regulating minor things like light bulbs, then telling others not to make a big deal over "minor things." What other minor choices do you want government making for you?
