I asked her and that's exactly what she did. But what's worse? The extra pollution and environmental destruction that comes from coal plants burning coal to produce the extra electricity required to power incandescents over CFLs or the extra pollution that comes from people disposing CFLs the wrong way or breaking them in their homes? I don't know the answer to that.

Either way, I am all for technological progress on light bulbs, but against government intervention unless the EPA comes in to make sure our grandkids don't get born with disabilities due to the pollution.
