Yes, I think all this is now in stock. Basically, I think management knew stock was previously VERY richly valued and losing earnings momentum near term. Many are now predicting flat 98 vs. 97 earnings. I suspect that management knew that combination of product transition/modem standards/merger integration issues created high risk of fiscal 98 not comparing very strongly w/97. Stock is now quite cheap on flat 98 earnings. I doubt many insiders would be sellers at current prices. Quite the reverse. It may be too early to buy. But I don't think that Coms will break down below the low 30s again unless overall market tanks...eg, on a Korean bank/currency breakdown. Regards, Doug
