Dave, you are hopelessly confused. Its not the gov't whose telling you that hydrofracking is bad........its private groups that have sprung up because of the problems they have experienced from hydrofracking. I will admit its not conclusive that hydrofracking is bad but there is enough negative evidence that suggests it needs to be monitored very closely. In fact, any time an industry deals with toxic chemicals they should be monitored closely. And that's true even when the materials are of a more natural origin.......see the Gulf oil spill of last summer.

In fact that's all the environmental advocate said in the 60min piece, which I found quite balanced, despite dave's characterization.
