That's false ...you are quoting articles that chronicled random failures of QC...the average life of a CFL is far higher than that of an incandescent.

Halogen incandescents are indeed twice as expensive than traditional bulbs. Don't wanna hear the facts, I see.

See that's the point that seems to be sailing over your head...yes, they are now, but a) they last longer, b) the cost curve will catch up with the price with time and volume and c) they save you money over time...

I think your idea of the "cost curve progression" is the same old pipe dream I hear from every vendor of expensive "green technology." "Oh, the price will come down as volumes go up." That ignores the need to find a critical mass of market demand.

LOL...critical mass on light bulbs? That's funny....did you price a 46 inch LCD TV five years ago vs today? or a 200W solar panel? or a 60W equivalent CFL for a closer comparison?

But since you obviously pretend to know more than you do, I'll let you keep pretending that you know WTF I'm talking about.

You know what's funny? This stuff is so clear and obvious that I can't decide whether you are pretending or you you really don't know what you are talking about.
