No, they're both global temperature charts.

Take a look at the two charts at the bottom of this post:

giss.nasa.gov

The first reliable global measurements of temperature from NASA, published by Hansen and his colleagues in 1981, showed a modest warming from 1880 to 1980, with only a slight dip in temperatures from 1940 to 1970. (Graph adapted from Hansen et al. 1981.)

Since 1980, global surface temperatures have increased sharply, the Earth's response to increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide. (NASA graph adapted from Goddard Institute for Space Studies data.)

Compare the period from 1940 through 1980 on the two charts ... they don't look the same. They aren't the same. Historical temperature records have been changed. Hansen changes GISS records all the time with no explanation or notice.

For that matter the period from 1880-1920 on the charts above don't look the same either. Hansen is making changes over time to bring the historical records into line with what he WANTS them to be. He should be fired and investigated for possible criminal activity.
