Imagine a world today with McCain/Palin and total control by the GOP the past 2.5 years. Maybe the best case is we would have no tea party or Obamacare and still have a crappy economy with continued deleveraging, trillion dollar deficits till the eye can see and worthless wars waged by the military industrial complex.. Worse case is outright depression where we are sitting in a July 1932 stock market bottom scenario without the bailouts and how that would have all turned out with many millions of additional jobs lost in 2009 accelerating the downturn even further for a number of years..
