Hawk, maybe it's the same people who some say have bought and buried the technology that enables cars to run on ordinary tap water: <Yep.. gotta wonder.

I saw a Chevrolet Aveo NGV a week ago in Bangkok.. Never seen one in the US.

About 28 years ago, I was at a service station in Ranui, [a suburb of Auckland], filling my vehicle.

I personally witnessed a car on the forecourt and the driver was telling the attendant [they still had them then] that the car ran on water and he'd just called in for a top up of the little petrol tank under the bonnet [hood in American].

I could see into the engine compartment and it was a little 1 litre container which the attendant filled. The driver said the petrol was just for starting, to get the engine warmed up before switching to water from the main tank.

The driver then told the attendant that it could do with a bit more water in the normal tank so the attendant got the water can [used for filling radiators back in the day] and diffidently, with the driver egging him on, poured a litre or so into the tank. The driver said it only needed a little so after a litre or so, they stopped and the driver and the attendant went in to pay the till attendant. I was in there and heard the forecourt attendant telling the skeptical till attendant that the car drives on water. "I PUT THE WATER IN THE TANK MYSELF!!! And that it has a little starter preheat petrol container in the engine compartment which I also filled."

I saw the whole thing myself so can say that what I'm reporting is absolutely true.
