Do you think, like Ted and that Harvard professor does, that obesity is largely the result of bad parenting? In a way, yes if you consider lousy diet awareness poor parenting... Let me make clear to you....at least........forget about Ten; he's on one of his nanny state crusades....what I mean. When I say obese.....I mean a child who is close to being morbidly overweight. The girl across the street is overweight.......people would say fat. She's not obese.....her life is not in danger. The rest of her family is thin. I've eaten with them and they provide a healthy range of food and monitor her diet closely. That's the most you can do. However, when you have child who is fast approaching life threatening conditions.....who is diabetic and asthmatic from the food and weight........then I think the parent should be held accountable. Many children are experiencing heart problems when they are still single digits. To me that's unacceptable. It would be the same if a parent let their child smoke cigarettes. Ten thinks that attitude is unreasonable.
