day 1 of socialist paradise went well here at isle sur la sorgue in provence france
the traveling party is comprised of erita, jack, nanny, my wife, my mom, and family friends the son of which is friend's with erita from regular and summer schools
we shall be joined by more family and friends by and by
we arrived, got picked up at the airport just as we would be whenever in koh samui thailand, checked out the small town and made some administrative decisions regarding meals, logistics and such.
the first meal cooked by the italian housekeeper was impressive, from the salad to the dessert, that we opted to have her do all except perhaps 4 meals during the 3-weeks stay. to do otherwise with 4 kids in toll would be too challenging given our frame of mind. socialism is great as long as fiat money is still flowing in france.
after exploring the pool and a small sliver of the 4 hectares of ground before the first day was out, friends' kids, 7 and 4, asked whether we could all move here permanently. i answered no, because the country shall soon enough undergo revolution. they and erita ran off before i could explain revolution. i did not bother explaining same to jack, near 11 months young, for he seemed only interested in his milk bottle and could not run yet. |
