After stating the true forces moving the world economy in the previous postings, we must divert from the news that cluthers the minds of the people.

Forget about bankers having problems with default. This is a rich's countries thing.

Decouple all that financial crisis from the emerging market economies. They do not relate.

It is pathetic to imagine that a mature countries economic situation has anything to do with the economic moment emerging markets are going through.

While thoughts are diverted to the news affecting mature economies, opportunities are missed in the emerging markets.

New Zealand is a country that grew supporting the urbanization of Europe. Until it did not. See protectionism that stopped exports to Europe after they had completed urbanization.

New Zealand should embrace the emerging markets com gusto! Canada still can be the oil and gas supplier of US.

New Zealand must seek the Moslem countries's markets.
It must befriend the negroes of Africa. Emulate the Chinese and sell to Africans.

Brazil, a mostly negro country, has it easy in this re+psect. Brazilian Northeasterners -who have a strtong negro presence- can work easily alongside the negro and can work within Africa's way of doing things.

Tell your people to get the sunscreen and try to create a bridgehead in Africa.
