I'm just learning, too. I find Altavista altavista.digital.com extremely useful, I just put the following into it;

"european banks"

...hit "Simple Search", and got about 1000 URLs. They have a help page that is quite easy to understand and gives good ideas about narrowing searches. Quite often you can find SI threads while using Altavista.

About a year ago the salesman had to show me how to plug this magic box into the wall, when he left (shaking his head), he left some good advice; "If all else fails, read the directions" -g- ........ cheers

PS ... If you come across figures for the average P/Es, P/Bs, etc for European banks, I'd be interested in hearing them, especially if they were broken down by country. Any good URLs appreciated as well...
