She did say that CNN is using their equipment now, mostly on the Ted Turner side of the company. Claimed to have no information on how many units they had, or how many would be involved in a conversion.

Said to check the website for possible announcements that don't make the newswires. Apparently, the media picked up on the Petco story, whereas others just like it languish unrecognized on the site.

She also said that the Mitsubishi appeal had, in fact, been filed. Previously, as I recall, the company only said that it intended to file an appeal. I half expected them not to do it. McKelvey's opinion will be tough to get around. I'm going to try to get hold of copies of the briefs. It will be interesting to see what arguments Ampex is raising. One thing is for sure: were dealing with more than a "technicality".

I also called Tom Coughlin and may be able to get a copy of his remarks at the December conference after the fact. If I do, I'll send copies to whoever wants one for postage and copy costs & a share of whatever it costs to get it from Tom. Let me know if you want one. email to jkovacs@pacific.net.
