Hi Tony: Honestly I don't know the details here exactly. But here's how I saw it.

LSI makes its DCAM chip and OEM's incorporate the one chip into their digital cameras. So 1 LSI chip = 1 digital camera. Now each digital camera will record half-a-zillion photos. Each 40 MB of photos goes onto 1 IOM Clik! disk. Therefore 1 camera = half-a-zillion Clik! disks.

So 1 LSI DCAM chip = 1 camera = half-a-zillion Clik! disks.

Therefore LSI is the razor maker and IOM is the blade maker. (In this application, these Clik! disks look like storage replacements for today's rolls of photographs. Pretty smart move on IOM's part if they can pull it off. In addition, it looks like the Clik! disks can be used in a lot more than cameras.)

At least that's what I was getting at. (I don't believe LSI is going to make the Clik! disks. Don't see why you'd need an ASIC in a storage disk!)

Today was nice huh?
