This is turning out to be quite a soap opera.

For me in particular, because both of my adult progeny chose Droid as their phone of choice despite my protests. The daughter has had nothing but trouble with hers, having had it replaced under warranty 3 times. In the most recent case, she opted to reinitialize her 2 year plan in order to switch to Blackberry. However, they're still replacing here Droid. It was under warranty.

"Why Blackberry," I asked.

"Well it wasn't a Droid and didn't require a big up front payment."

So, I filled her in on RIM and its pager history, and told her about the outages. At least she has 2 phones now. One of them is bound to work.
