The entire rich area of geochems of SSH should dump into Mills Creek and Minton Creek. That we have no evidence of it seguing into Minton could be due to many reasons. One could be that the paleo surface at deposition was sloping away from here Minton later incised. Another could be that Minton is a very steep valley with deeply buried gravels or possibly lots of clay. The stream goes far enough inland to have washed the slough from the hill on which the geochems are situated. However as I said the mountain may have been tilted another way before the stream eroded the valley. Dr. WTF Whothehell, a prominent geologist in those parts, knows.
