You wouldn't expect anyone who is happy pulling down millions to complain, would you?

Mentor...snort.

The tell was the manner in which the interviewee responded to the "what is the function of a leader" question.

He had clearly researched the answer because he knew what Dear Leader has previously said so his response was properly robotic. He responded that the function of a leader is to be transparent. Bingo! He was hired because he exhibited the correct lap dog behavior they are looking for.

Ultimate transparency is unattainable by humans, if only because a great many of the things we do and think are ruled by the unconscious. This is the fundamental error in anyone thinking that they are some sort of machine that can be programmed to do this, that or the other. But this kind of programming is exactly what that hedge fund strives to achieve.

There is something very odd and very strange going on at B-Water. If it were a stock, I'd short it to the moon.

I have now googled Bwater as a cult and found this very interesting article:

nymag.com

A sample:

Even more than its peers, it cultivates a paranoia in its ranks, monitoring e-mails and phone calls and keeping tabs on employees via a network of overhead cameras. Most of the current and former Bridgewater employees contacted for this article, along with several nonstaffers who were afraid of angering the firm, spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Sound familiar?
