>> the weekly options that expire Thursday <<

Yahoo shows the expiration day wrong: "Expire at close Thursday, July 21, 2011"

They expire Friday at market close.

It's likely a software bug, originating from programming that was for the usual options that expire on the Saturday following the 3rd Friday of each month. When Weeklys were introduced, they didn't custom-program the expiration dates for the Weeklys. Since the usual options expire the day after the last trading day (and this week, trading ends on Friday), Yahoo shows "Expire at close Thursday, July 21, 2011" which means that they really expire at the close the next day.
