Almost none of the AMD faithful will now admit to holding this stock!

I can and do admit it.....I hardly doubt anyone knew when AMD was 48 that it would not go much higher.....(remember all the speculation of a $90 price target?).....I bought in at 15 3/8, and I've seen my profits go everyone where from -20% to +200%, and i'm still in....maybe I should have sold, but then i'd have missed all the excitement :)

I have to agree with Kevin about going after the gamers market. It might not be the bigest market, but maybe 30% of all computer are sold with games in mind as at least one of the things it'll be good for. I'm not too sure how much better the new 3D technology makes games if you compare it to things comming arround the bend like the 3DFX Voodoo II chipset.....but if AMD becomes the Gamers CPU, then Kevin has a point. How much faster do you want the spreadsheet to run? Not many people need it to be faster. But Gamers always need a faster CPU to do bigger and better gaming on.........Who knows, this may be AMD's saving grace in the future.
