Debeers will probably have 100% say on how and when AK is developed.
Debeers is also responsible as per the JV to pay 100% of the cost to put it into production . Show me any other jr. co. with similar terms!
Debeers IMHO wants to be able to compete with abz & dmm in order to retain some control of the marketing from the nwt.
Also deb. wants to have an alternative safe second source of being able to produce its own supply.
For these reasons deb. will proceed to develope Ak asap.
If additional pipes are found this winter that are as good or better as the 4 pipes in the bag I predict deb will be in production within 3 years or sooner from the start up of bhp-dmm.
