No, the fact of the matter is those things won't happen without an increase in demand. For that to happen, consumers need to feel secure enough to start spending. Which they won't without secure, decent paying jobs. Period. The Wall Street Journal had a recent article on this. We don't disagree about this. Apparently, what we disagree about is what will create secure, decent paying jobs. What we know, with 100% certainty, is that government spending WILL NOT DO IT. We tried that. We tried that during the FDR administration and it failed. And we tried it in a huge way two years ago. It simply doesn't work. This is no surprise to anyone who gave it an ounce of thought.
