There is no cure for Parkinson's disease and don't let any of the pharmaceutical hype cloud this fact. The treatments are palliative at best. The best thing you can do for your father is be up front with him. The better he understands his prognosis, the more open he will be to your suggestions of treatment.
Be extremely cautious of the information you find on SI. In fact, your decision to use this as an additional site for information is, in my opinion, unwise. Use Pubmed/medline, read about the nigral striatal system and PD from Principles of Neuroscience by Kendel & Schwartz, attend seminars, and talk to Neurologists. You could travel to UCSF and/or UCSD-Salk, two of the best Neuroscience campuses in the country, to teach yourself the fundamentals.
Your father's money would have been much better spent in these areas than for you spend time with all the self-serving nonsense that circulates here.
