It's the government that needs civilizing, not the capitalism. Capitalists just buy and sell things, using capital to create and sell more things. Governments just need to protect the commons and public property, protect private property, punish criminals, protect the borders against invasion, allocate shared resources by auction [fish, spectrum, roads]. We capitalists are civilized by definition or our customers will boycott us. Here is an example of an out of control government, sinking the country into massive debt and bankruptcy, suffocating people and robbing them: newzealand.govt.nz From top of the world 50 years ago to way down the list from which people are fleeing to Oz and many other countries.
