Typical right wing BS and myth re Reagan and the fall of the Soviet Union and then ignoring the huge debt incurred by Bush borrowed from Communist China to get his family revenge.

Carter did as much as Reagan by just cutting off participation in the Moscow Olympics as immediate punishment to the Soviets for their invasion of Afghanistan and the Afghanis died by the thousands to finish off the Soviet Empire...Anyone visiting the Soviet Union in the early 80s could see the place and system falling apart,

Carter also set us on a early course to begin to reduce our energy needs from the violent lands of the terrorists and our increasing exposure to them by emphasizing solar and Reagan proceeded to set us back 30 years by taking down the very powerfully symbolic solar panels at the White House and eliminating any government help to risk taking individuals and early entrepreneurs.

Bush took a Clinton budget surplus gained by increasing tax revenues and reducing the Reagan Government military spend and eliminated it with his tax cuts and dug us into a deep financial ditch with his Iraq War Family Revenge debacle and left us nearly broke when we really needed the government spend power.

And now the repugs are pushing a jobs program for "obsolete light bulb" manufacturing and austerity programs of the UK type that are killing the UK economy while increasing unemployment. OHMIGOSH.
