There were two Lazarus' in the bible:

one: a cripple that sat at the rich man's gate and the dogs licked his sores

two: Lazarus the brother or Mary and Martha who was a friend of Jesus. He died and was brought back to life by Jesus.

my namesake is the latter.

i was baptized on Lazarus Saturday which is the Saturday before Palm Sunday and my priest gave me the Christian name of Lazarus.
