****Response from Joe Lanza****
Wes,
1. Let's take Xecom first. Xecom is a once in a lifetime situation, in my opinion, and I have no doubt in my mind that someday, somewhere a lot of money will be made on this deal.
2. Now Maesa: I do appreciate your opinion, however, look at the whole picture picture (since you are an attorney). Maesa raised $1,370,000 on the basis of gaming. If Maesa does NOT go forward in gaming, Maesa has a problem...would you not agree? So Maesa needs a gaming license. Does it not make sense to buy an operating profitable company with current licenses so Maesa can get the $1,370,000 and then go after Allied? If you have a better plan, call me on the Internet.
3. Wes, as far as clowns go, I am very sure that, in your long lifetime, you have met people you like and trusted who have turned out to be disappointments, or "clowns." If you are going to tell me you haven't, then you are the only person I know who has been so lucky, and you must teach me your social secrets. Fred is not a clown. He is in fact a very capable guy, however, his partner made representations that have not come about.
4. Wes, your last remark was beneath you and completely uncalled-for. If you really felt I was useless, you would not call and ask questions of me. You made a comment: "When people think that somebody is down, they jump on that person." Well, I am not wounded and there is still plenty of vinegar left in me. So don't be fooled by the other clowns. |
