Trey,

<< i can assure you that the final ASP will likely be around 4.75.
also, a point which you seem not to want to address is the testing equipment woes the
company has had. don't you thik that will effect SDRAM production significantly? it
did last q. >>

You can assure 4.75...interesting. Is that 4.75 for SDRAM and DRAM?

Is this a guess or did you calculate it since all the numbers are not in yet.

As far as "test equipment woes" I don't know where you get the idea I did not want to address. I didn't consider it since I thought that it was resolved early this quarter. There really is no reason to think that b/c they had problems last quarter means every quarter afterwards they will have it. If you are privy to something than just tell us.
Also, I thought 50-50 for SDRAM and Larry heard 40 for SDRAM if you have anything concrete to contribute to that number than lets hear it.

<< as for SDRAM getting a higher price than EDO, sure, but not much higher. using
AICEs information, SDRAM dimms should be selling at a significant premium to EDO
simms. that simply is not the case.>>

Trey, very vague. From distributors I pay 33.00 for 16mb DRAM and 45.00 for SDRAM. Now it is only 12.00 difference and that will certainly not stop one from buying it but whenyou multiply by millions it is a big difference. Now if somebody is buying for less it is possible... but it may be chips dumped by SEA and MU is complaining about it again.

<< also, you guys are hell bent on the quality of DRAM stuff. NO ONE CARES. the
simple fact of the matter is that samsung SDRAM runs as well as MU SDRAM. MU
doesnt get a significant premium, IMHO. >>

hmmm. Sounds naive to me that nobody cares about quality. DELL seems to care since they get their memory from MU. I know for myself i have found cheap memory that sometimes worked well and sometimes had inconsistent behavior. Their specs weren't that tight and occasionally caused system failures, unexpected halts etc. Read some articles from Toms Hardware web site and you might get a better understanding of what quality of components mean in an overall system.

Good Luck Trading
