Obama, out of hard-headedness, insisted on 1.2T in tax increases, clearly positioning for a deal at 4T and 1T, which I predict will be the outcome. Imagine. A few months ago, Obama was unwilling to cut a damned thing, and Boehner has forced him to a deal to cut 4T. This is a huge win for America. Even if it has been ugly getting there.
