Cool story in the New Yorker about Ben Bernanke, who only got a 1590 on the SAT, albeit better than me (1451). Maybe not the smartest man in the room but he does understand the history of the Great Depression of 1929-1939 better than almost anybody else alive. In case you haven't already swallowed Jay's kool-aid. Read Bernanke. Whatever his legacy as a central banker, he's a superb historian. newyorker.com
