Our AAA rating is gone, IMO.
This bullshit has just gone on for too long.
Over the next week we believe that the debt ceiling will be lifted. However we have gone past the point of no return regarding the debt downgrade. We fully expect the U.S. will lose its AAA status. This will add accelerant to the move lower in the USD. On June 8th, People's Bank of China Adviser Li Daokui stated the U.S. was "playing with fire" on the debt issue. (Click here.) We believe this has resulted in the burning of the U.S. curtain. The fire has been lit, and U.S. dollar weakness will now accelerate.
