Back in the day, there were 9 nuns/teachers for grades 1-8. The principal taught 8th grade and acted as the admin and the 3rd grade teacher was the secretary. The extra teacher taught music or filled in if a nun got sick.

In high school, there was a principal and vice prinicipal to do admin work and a student body of about 600.
