Even if they do cobble something together, it only kicks the can down the road for another six months or so.

Can you say "Isolationism"? It's a recurrent theme in the American Psyche and it might just be in the cards again. Some see this as a prelude to a World Government. I think a more likely scenario is fragmentation.
