Sometimes you are lucky, and some times you can read the tea leaves. I put a bid to buy the stock at $ 154 after it rebounded from trades lower than yesterday's closing price. Too late, the stock never looked back. The rationale was: if I am willing to pay $ 154, then I should be more than willing to pay $ 149 by this Friday. Therefore, I sold put option $ 155 expiring this Saturday at around $ 6/share. By having the stock never looked back was an indication that earnings would be good. The rest was history.
