i'd buy that dmr/trecom are worth 9-10 on their own. but they
belong to amdahl now and they are *losing* increasing millions
every quarter. couple that with amdahl's stellar management
record and youre looking at a more accurate valuation of 6, maybe.

you made an ominous statement about amdahl dumping some of their
management over there to see how they are run. historically its
worked alot like a parasite virus. they inject a company with
their "enlightened" managerial team that proceeds to muck with
everything that worked until the plug gets pulled two years later.
thats with hardware though, mileage may vary with "service".

i hold to my original statement regarding consulting. we're talking
about a company that used to *produce* something. something big,
powerful, expensive, profitable. now they dispatch workers like
the local job shopper house. you dont see this as a downgrade in
the business? how do you regain status as a $2B company with a
pack of consultants?

amdahl is chasing shadows going after phantom markets, buying and
selling companies as if it was trying to acquire an identity.
they've clearly lost direction and vision. i reiterate the
tragedy of the loss. it used to be a nice place to work with
confidence in its future.
